Day one of this two-day workshop will be held in a classroom. On day two, the attendees will be formed into safety kaizen teams and will work on the shop floor (gemba). Workshop exercises may include:
• Process mapping of safety processes
• Creating an employee safety engagement survey
• Developing a form to gather safety improvement ideas
• Outlining safety standard work for managers
Host company Siemens’ (Glasgow, DE site) has been progressing its lean journey since 2001 and prioritizes employee safety as a core value, reflected in its ongoing Zero Harm Culture initiative.
