Minitab Inc. recently released Quality Companion 2, software designed to help manage and execute Six Sigma projects. Quality Companion 2 complements Minitab’s statistical software and simplifies process improvement by helping teams plan, execute, document and report on their projects. It joins three elements that are critical to the success of any Six Sigma effort: organization, practical tools and expert guidance.

“We created Quality Companion to help professionals get through their projects faster, more efficiently and with less aggravation,” says J.P. Mulley, Minitab product planning manager. “It makes it easier for companies to achieve the maximum benefit from their quality improvement programs.”

At the start of each project, Quality Companion’s project roadmap feature allows users to plan every phase in detail, then assign built-in “soft” tools to assist with each task. The tools help team members brainstorm, map processes, conduct analyses, complete forms and reports, and more. A data-sharing tool simplifies form completion.
