(LynxLabs: Kelowna, BC) -- LynxLabs has released a free browser-based checklist designed to help laboratory and supplier-quality teams review whether a certificate of analysis functions as a complete, traceable source record rather than a stand-alone trust badge.

The LynxLabs COA Checker guides reviewers through 10 documentation controls: material and lot alignment, laboratory identity, report date, analytical method, identity evidence, quantitative result context, fill or storage context, claim boundaries, source-file continuity, and internal-review notes. The result is an audit summary that can be copied and retained with an organization’s own supplier-qualification or document-control records.
The tool is available without registration. Entered review data stay in the user’s browser and are not uploaded or stored by LynxLabs. It’s intended as a documentation preflight, not a substitute for independent testing, method review, supplier qualification, or an organization’s quality-management procedures.
“Teams often receive a PDF that looks complete but cannot be tied cleanly to the material, lot, method, laboratory, and source file being evaluated,” says the LynxLabs team. “The checker makes those record-continuity gaps visible before a document is accepted into an internal review trail.”
The checker also separates document completeness from scientific proof. Completing the checklist doesn’t certify identity, purity, sterility, safety, or suitability. Reviewers must still assess the underlying laboratory, methods, source records, and acceptance criteria appropriate to their own work.
LynxLabs is a Canadian commercial supplier of laboratory-research materials. The company created the checker after building internal batch-documentation workflows and is making the resource available publicly for research-use-only documentation work. The tool is limited to laboratory document review and doesn’t provide human-use guidance.
