(Cambridge Viscosity Inc.: Medford, MA) -- A full line of lab and process viscometers that offer faster throughput with a new standard for all aspects of oil processing, product manufacturing, and control are available from Cambridge Viscosity Inc.

Cambridge viscometers, used for laboratory and process applications, feature the same oscillating piston technology that allows for continuous viscosity readings and complies. They comply with ASTM D 7483-08 and correlate to ASTM D 445. Employing electromagnetic coils to move the piston, and temperature probes in the measurement chamber, the viscometers are all accurate to ±1.0 percent and repeatable to 0.8 percent to help prevent correlation errors between the lab and production.

Capable of detecting and correcting irregularities while the self-cleaning piston oscillates, Cambridge  viscometers are vibration-resistant. The constant piston motion keeps samples fresh as it scrubs the all-wetted 316SS sampling area. Suitable for new and retrofitted applications, these viscometers can provide fully automatic measurements from 0.02 to 20,000 cP (cSt) at up to 375ºC in greater than 20,000 psi environments.
