The first e-sourcing capability model level 4 service provider and Satyam’s business process outsourcing (BPO) subsidiary—Nipuna Services—recently became the first Indian BPO company to win the Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award.

Comparable to the European Quality Award, the Deming Prize for Japanese organizations and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in the United States, the Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award was instituted by the Bureau of Indian Standards in 1991 to honor leaders in the movement toward excellent quality.

Assessed in regard to business results, effect on society and the environment, employee satisfaction, customer-focused results, processes, resources, human resource management, strategies and objectives, and policies and leadership, Nipuna won in the large-scale service industry category.
