Product News: Cutting Tool Inspection Unit Uses Five-Megapixel Camera

Features linear motion rolling guides on all axes and magnifications from 15X to 260X

Published: Tuesday, July 28, 2009 - 12:41

(Euro-Tech Corp.: Menomonee Falls, WI) -- Designed for inspecting bone drills, taps, and other cutting tools, The PG 1000 uses a five-megapixel camera that requires minimal lighting to reduce the occurrence of hot spots.

The PG 1000 cutting tool inspection system features linear motion rolling guides on all axes and a microscope that provides magnifications ranging from 15X to 260X. Magnifications automatically synchronize to the user’s PC; the machine also automates screen calibration with electronic magnification change-stabilization functions.

The system’s software allows for screen images to be captured and saved for documentation.
