Standard Register Receives Vendor Award

Published: Wednesday, December 14, 2005 - 22:00

Shared Services Healthcare Inc. recently recognized Standard Register with its Top Medical Surgical Vendor for 2005 award. Shared Services Healthcare, an affiliate of MedAssets, is a group-purchasing organization composed of health care institutions in the southeast United States. The recognition of Standard Register was based on increased sales revenues over the past year, and was announced at Shared Services Healthcare’s annual meeting in Florida. Last year, Standard Register was honored as one of Shared Services Healthcare’s biggest suppliers.

“Shared Services Healthcare has a very long and successful relationship with Standard Register and was pleased to be able to recognize them as our top purchasing contract this year,” says Sandra Green, Shared Services Healthcare CEO. “Standard Register was the first contract we negotiated to open our company in 1974. It’s been a successful relationship and one we look forward to for many more years to come.”

“Shared Services has played a major role in Standard Register’s health care growth in the Southeast during the past 31 years,” says Dave Freshwater, Standard Register’s manager of GPO operations. “Our longstanding relationship with them provides total solutions that improve the processes of our mutual clients, while reducing their overall costs.”

Standard Register is a document services provider that uses lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce costs, mitigate risks and increase efficiencies. For more information, visit www.standardregister.com.
