Automated Precision Inc. recently opened API University, an innovative training program for precision measurement.

The program consists of a three-day course that features lectures and practical, hands-on exercises to introduce students to the science of basic metrology and related practices. Participants will set details, inspect fixtures, align machines and learn the basics of building tools. The classes will be led by API engineers and are designed for those who have little or no metrology experience. Certificates will be issued upon completion, and new classes will begin every fourth calendar month.API is a provider of advanced solutions for coordinate measurement and machine tool operation.
