Body
Instron recently moved its headquarters to Norwood, Massachusetts. The headquarters is located on a 50-acre site and includes a new customer center, expanded application lab and training center, and calibration center. Instron plans to make the application lab the visual showpiece of the facility, as it will be housed in a two-story, glass-walled space adjacent to the building’s main lobby. Engineers will use the lab to work with customers to address specific customer applications.

A new calibration center will house primary standard dead-weight stacks for calibrating force transducers up to 250,000 lb. The headquarters will also include a purpose-built manufacturing facility designed to maximize the efficiency of workflow.

Instron’s products are used to evaluate the mechanical and physical properties and performance of materials, structures and components.
