Breakthrough Management Group recently launched a publishing initiative to advance its total performance improvement model. The launch coincides with the release of BMG’s vice president of publishing Neil DeCarlo’s book, Six Sigma for Dummies (For Dummies, 2005). The company plans to publish an entire series of books that revolve around the total performance improvement framework. The books will be short treatises focused on individual components of the model, with emphasis on how each functions independently. Planned volumes include topics such as strategic thinking and strategic planning with Hoshin Kanri methods, lean, design for Six Sigma, process management and change leadership. The first book will be released in late March and will focus on innovation and TRIZ.
“The total performance improvement model resonates with organizations around the globe,” says DeCarlo. “By establishing a publishing initiative, BMG has the opportunity to share our expertise while encouraging decision makers to view the entire process in a new light. The books demonstrate BMG’s thought leadership in this arena and make the components and underlying principles available to an even wide range of beneficiaries.”
