(Oxford Lasers: Shirley, MA) -- In the pharmaceutical and medical industries, packaging integrity is of the utmost importance. It’s essential to be able to accurately and routinely check packaging performance on leak testing equipment. In turn the performance of the test equipment needs to be checked at initial installation and regularly during its service life. Oxford Lasers, specialists in laser micromachining tools and services, has a new drilling system that creates small leak test orifices suitable for calibrating the leak test equipment. It directly drills the difficult packaging forms used in the pharmaceutical and medical industries.
