(BYK-Gardner: Geretsried, Germany) -- BYK-Gardner, a manufacturer of instruments and system solutions for quality control of color, appearance, and physical properties of paints and plastics, has a new feature in its measurement data analysis software, smart-chart, which distributes digital master standards within the whole supplier chain.

Until now, color standards had to be measured by each individual color instrument, which meant the involved parties used multiple sets of master panels or had to meet at one location to read the same panel. This antiquated process is time-consuming and introduces a source of error because of poor or varying master panels.
