(OMG: Needham, MA) -- The Business Ecology Initiative (BEI), a nonprofit, member-led organization committed to breaking down silos and promoting “business ecology” practices within and among organizations, announces the Business Ecology Webinar Series, which will begin May 6, 2011, at 11 a.m. EDT and feature four different sessions.

Each webinar will examine trends, best practices, and hot issues in one of the following five categories, which are the main focus areas of BEI and its communities of practice:
1. Business planning and design
2. Business process excellence
3. Intelligent business
4. Sustainable business
5. Secure business

The first four webinars will be held on Fridays at 11 a.m. EDT, beginning on May 6, 2011. Beginning June 28, 2011, the webinar series will move to its regular schedule of the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Each webinar will last approximately 40 minutes, and there is no charge.

“Organizations today are hampered by outmoded, siloed structures and processes,” says Abbie Lundberg, executive director, BEI.
