ANSI Issues Online “Standards Snapshots”

Published: Tuesday, January 11, 2005 - 23:00

In an effort to highlight the importance of international standards, the American National Standards Institute recently published the first in a series of short articles about the many different existing standards. The first highlighted standard is related to wood machinery safety and the categorization of nuclear facilities. Each “snapshot” gives a brief overview of the standard, explains how it affects the industry and outlines the trade association that helped develop it. ANSI will publish the items regularly on its Web site.
