Six Sigma Summit to Be Held in Miami

Gen. Colin Powell, former secretary of state, will deliver the keynote address at the upcoming 8th Annual Six Sigma Summit,presented by IQPC.

The event will be held Jan. 22–25 at the Hyatt Regency Miami, and will include a full day of events tailored toward the needs of Six Sigma practitioners in the defense industry. The Defense Focus Day will be held on the first day of the conference and will feature representatives from the Coast Guard, the Federal Aviation Administration, Army Materiel Command, the George Group and Air Academy Associates.

The summit will also include more than a dozen workshops and forums on lean, Six Sigma, kaizen, TRIZ, and design for Six Sigma and several networking breaks. Speakers include William C. Anderson, assistant secretary of the Air Force for installations; Ellen Bovarnick, Nortel Networks vice president for lean Six Sigma and global quality; Joseph Bertolotti, IBM director of strategic planning and process; and Don Linsenmann, DuPont vice president and corporate champion.
