(IQPC: New York) -- Following the annual success of the global Process Excellence Awards program across the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Australasia, the Process Excellence Network (PEX), a division of the International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC), recently announced the addition of an Indian-based awards program.

The Process Excellence Awards have been established to honor, recognize, and celebrate projects and programs that truly demonstrate world-class best practices and are judged against a global benchmark for excellence.

This announcement follows significant growth in the PEX community from across the Indian region and an increase in entries from Indian-owned companies in the global awards categories.

The Indian Awards program will launch with the three most popular global categories:
• Best Process Improvement Program
• Best Process Improvement Project in Service and Transaction
• Best Process Improvement Project in Manufacturing

The awards program is now open for entries, with the initial submission deadline set for July 8, 2011.
