(Enthone: West Haven, CT) -- Enthone Inc., a business of Cookson Electronics, will offer Six Sigma Black Belt certification courses for manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, energy, electronics, building, hardware and tooling, and surface finishing markets.

Participants must bring a laptop with Microsoft Office 2003 or later and must also attend all five weeks of training, which will alternate between West Haven, Connecticut, and South Plainfield, New Jersey. Each of the weekly sessions will end at 3 p.m. on day five, except for the last session, which will end earlier to accommodate graduation ceremonies.
Week 1: Aug. 1–5
Week 2: Aug. 29–Sept. 2
Week 3: Oct. 3–7
Week 4: Nov. 7–11
Week 5: Dec. 5–8
Course sessions will include training in:
DMAIC. Define, measure, analyze, improve, control (DMAIC)—sustained yield improvement and defect reduction (cause and effects tools, process capability, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), design of experiments (DOE), gauge repeatability and reproducibility (R&R), statistical process control (SPC)
DFSS. Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)—design it right the first time, quicker (voice of customer, house of quality, multigenerational planning)
Lean. Maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize working capital (operational wastes, 5S, value-stream mapping, process flow, kaizen)
Free Minitab 16 access provided during training.
Participants will also receive:
