Published: Monday, July 5, 2004 - 22:00 FARO Gage’s Screaming For Accuracy tour will visit 15 U.S. and Canadian cities this summer, along with eight cities in Europe and seven cities in Asia. Members of the media, machinists and quality control managers who attend an event will receive Gage-themed T-shirts, demo DVDs, a chance to win a $100 credit on Ticketmaster for the concert of their choice and more. Attendees can bring parts from their facilities with them to measure with a FARO Gage and then e-mail the reports back to work. Classic rock radio stations will hold live broadcasts at some of the events. The events are all part of FARO’s effort to showcase its products and show manufacturing facilities the immediate and lasting effects its gage can have on productivity and profitability -- especially when compared to some handheld devices. “Would someone produce an annual report using a typewriter and then correct mistakes with Wite-Out? Of course not,” says FARO President and CEO Simon Raab. “That method was replaced by the PC, which made those errors unacceptable. The FARO Gage replaces the outdated, two-dimensional hand tool method, so the goal of our concert tour is to provide a fun forum in which to educate manufacturers how it is the cost-effective way to meet the industry’s growing demand for quality and accountability.” The concert tour will visit the following cities: Houston, Texas Anaheim, California Detroit, Michigan Fort Wayne, Indiana Grand Rapids, Michigan Dayton, Ohio Columbus, Ohio Cleveland, Ohio Providence, Rhode Island Braintree, Massachusetts Louisville, Kentucky Indianapolis, Indiana Chicago, Illinois Toronto, Ontario London, Ontario London, England Coventry, England Newcastle, England Naples, Italy Rottweil, Germany Stuttgart, Germany Augsburg, Germany Le Havre, France Hamamatsu, Japan Tokyo, Japan Osaka, Japan Shanghai, China Beijing, China Guangzhou, China Changchun, China This list will be updated online as new cities are added.
