(Micro-Measurements: Raleigh, NC) -- Vishay Precision Group Inc. (VPG) has announced its Micro-Measurements Division’s U.S. training session schedule for the first half of 2011. Held at the company’s facility in Raleigh, North Carolina, and other locations across the United States, three different courses help train customers in the proper use of strain measurement techniques.

The Micro-Measurements workshops provide excellent hands-on training for those who use, plan, supervise, or instruct others in stress analysis techniques. In addition, the short courses combine additional visual aids and demonstrations for added depth in key areas.

The workshops and short courses include:

• Strain Gauge Technology Workshop (No. W62)
• Strain Gauge Workshop (No. W65)
• Strain Measuring Systems Workshop (No. SC300)

 

The Strain Gauge Workshop is a hands-on program in which each participant completes three gauge installations using materials selected for suitability in a majority of test environments. The workshop is intended to develop proficiency in strain-gauge selection and installation.
