The L.S. Starrett Co. recently acquired the assets of Tru-Stone Technologies Inc., a Minnesota-based provider of high-precision, custom-engineered granite machine bases and accessories to manufacturers of inspection and measurement equipment.

Starrett reports that the acquisition will allow it to diversify its customer base, broaden the array of custom granite solutions, and leverage the company’s global brand strength. Tru-Stone has been in business for 46 years, and employs 94 employees in its 90,000 sq. ft. facility.
