Hexagon Metrology Announces Relocation of North American Headquarters

Published: Wednesday, March 9, 2005 - 23:00

Hexagon Metrology North America plans to move its North American headquarters from Rhode Island to Connecticut. The company will build a 115,000 square foot, state-of-the art building that will also house manufacturing facilities for Hexagon’s Brown & Sharpe product line. In addition, the facility will house back-office operations for Hexagon Metrology’s North American companies, including Brown & Sharpe, TESA, Wilcox Associates, Sheffield Measurement and ROMER CimCore. New demonstration, laboratory and training facilities are also planned.

The company will expand available services at the new facility by pursuing A2LA accreditation for the calibration laboratories and offer commercial calibration services for dimensional gages and equipment. “We see a real need for more accredited gage calibration laboratories in New England,” says Bill Gruber, president and CEO of Hexagon Metrology North America and Brown & Sharpe Inc. “These are value-added services for our customers that we couldn’t support from our prior location.”
