(API: Rockville, MD) -- Automated Precision Inc. (API) announced that it has opened a new services facility in Plano, Texas, to accommodate growing demand for contract services in the area’s manufacturing industries. The new location will allow API to strengthen its ability to provide affordable and highly accurate precision measurement, 3D scanning, and CNC calibration services to the South-Central Region.

The efforts for this new location will be headed up by Danny Southerly, the regional manager for the Texas office. Southerly has more than 10 years of experience in calibration, contract service work, and customer training. “We are looking forward to growing our facility in the North Dallas area,” says Ron Hicks, vice president of the API Services division team. “Danny will continue to strengthen the team to ensure we provide unrivaled support to engineers and businesses in the area.” The new office is located in Suite 600 of 5851 Legacy Circle, Plano, Texas, and could support up to seven additional staff positions.

API Services has been awarded A2LA accreditation, in addition to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. These certifications reflect API Services’ commitment to deliver reliable, high-quality laser tracker and CNC calibrations to continually improve the development processes.
