Michel Dechape

President and an inventor

EASI

Michel Dechape is an inventor and the president of EAS Inc., developer and manufacturer of air gauging systems. Dechape was born in Normandy. He attended technical military school for four years and served seven years in the French Army specializing in radars. He came to the United States in 1959 and worked as a research engineer for seven years for Ford Motor Co. before founding EAS Inc. in 1968. Dechape became involved in air gauging in 1980 and obtained his first U.S. patent for an air electronic converter shortly thereafter. His latest invention is for a new principle in air gauging.
