Microsoft Corp. has partnered with USC Consulting Group LLC to roll out its new lean technology for manufacturing companies. Microsoft has redesigned its approach to key clients by developing a “trusted advisor” role in which it helps clients that use Microsoft applications solve business problems. To that end, the company formed an industry solutions group with a manufacturing vertical dedicated to lean practices using LeanView, an application that was designed by Orlando Software Group Inc.

USC Consulting Group uses LeanView and will develop a lean curriculum to help other LeanView users. The curriculum will use the company’s e-learning platform, M-Abler. Margaret Wilson, USC Consulting’s operations manager, will lead the curriculum’s development.
