Body

(TÜV SÜD: Peabody, MA) -- TÜV SÜD America Inc. can now provide accredited certification for ISO 50001 to companies of all sizes and complexities. Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to assist companies in their efforts to minimize energy consumption, ISO 50001 is similar to management systems standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 in that it follows the proven plan-do-check-act (PDCA) method for continual improvement. ISO 50001 provides organizations with a framework for creating and implementing an energy management system, as well as decreasing their energy usage and reducing the cost of doing business. An effective energy management system is a critical factor for a company seeking to achieve systematic, integrated, and sustainable reduction of its energy consumption.
