Published: Monday, April 3, 2023 - 12:01 (Omnex: Ann Arbor, MI) -- Omnex has announced its latest webinars, “Net zero and carbon neutrality standards are now for your environmental management systems” and “Best practices in systems engineering for Automotive SPICE.” Webinar title: “Net zero and carbon neutrality standards are now for your environmental management systems” Join Omnex for an informative and exciting discussion on net-zero carbon and carbon neutrality. Chad Kymal, CTO of Omnex, has been at the forefront of this movement for net zero and carbon neutrality and thinks now is the time for organizations to get involved. He helped write the “Net Zero Carbon Guidelines” released by ISO. According to ISO, “Launched at COP27, the Net Zero Guidelines tackle a major roadblock for a world where greenhouse gas emissions are reduced to the minimum and balanced by removals: the fragmented net zero governance landscape. Competing approaches and concepts for Net Zero sow confusion. The guidelines provide a common reference for collective efforts, offering a global basis for harmonizing, understanding, and planning for net zero.” Chad is also a U.S. expert in ISO 14068—“Greenhouse gas management and climate change management and related activities—Carbon neutrality.” This standard, which we will refer to as a “carbon neutrality” standard, is harmonized with the net-zero guidelines. The standard will be auditable, and organizations should integrate net zero and carbon neutrality into their environmental management systems (EMS). If organizations are not careful, there may be several fragmented approaches in the organization as they move forward. Webinar title: “Best practices in systems engineering for Automotive SPICE” FMEAs have been used for a few decades now. This webinar will dive into how to leverage DFMEAs to meet best-in-class, systems engineering risk analysis practices. Other topics covered include requirements management to effectively plan releases, systems architectural design, and testing. The following processes covered as part of the scope of this webinar are SYS.2 System Requirements Analysis, SYS.3 System Architectural Design, SYS.4 System Integration and Integration Test, and SYS.5 System Qualification Test Join the free webinar to learn about “Best Practices in Systems Engineering for Automotive SPICE.” Quality Digest does not charge readers for its content.
