(ASQ: Milwaukee, WI) -- Within the next five years, customer experience will overtake product features and safety as the primary driver of customer loyalty, according to Curt Hill, vice president of customer and partner assurance for Cisco Systems Inc., who is speaking at the ASQ International Conference on Quality Standards.

Attendees of the International Conference on Quality Standards, held Nov. 9 – 10 at The Westin Indianapolis Hotel, will learn the business case for standards certification, and discover the value business, government, the environment, and society at large can gain from standards deployment.

As an ANSI-accredited standards developer, ASQ plays an important role in providing the U.S. voice on international standards and assisting in developing and maintaining standards on quality, environment, dependability, statistics, and social responsibility.

In addition to Hill, Paul Palmes, president and principal consultant for Business Systems Architects Inc., is scheduled to speak. Palmes is chair of the international committee responsible for the recent revision of ISO 9000, which provides the fundamental concepts, principles, and vocabulary for quality management systems.

The conference theme, “Enhancing Customer Experience Through Standards Implementation,” will focus on standards’ guidance and requirements of quality management systems, and how they support customer satisfaction and experience.

The focus areas of the conference include:
• Quality management systems
• Environmental management systems
• Medical devices quality management systems
