Australia to Develop Food Safety Auditor Standard

Published: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 - 21:00

The Australian government recently announced that it will develop a standard by which to certify food safety auditors. RABQSA International and the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry recently signed a contract to develop and implement a National Food Safety Auditor Certification Framework based on ISO/IEC 17023:2003.

“This project progresses toward ensuring a more nationally consistent approach to food safety auditing in Australia, and it will enhance Australia’s food safety auditing infrastructure,” according to Australia’s DAFF.
