(ASQ: Milwaukee) -- The American Society for Quality (ASQ) Service Quality Division has recently initiated a project to enhance the current version of the Service Quality Body of Knowledge (SQBOK). The division needs 10 to 12 volunteers from the ASQ community to contribute to this project. Upon successful completion, contributors are entitled to receive recertification units and other benefits as recognition of their participation, in accordance with ASQ policies.

Who is a prospective volunteer?

Prospective volunteers need to be conversant with “service quality.” Holding a current ASQ certification and working in one of the following areas is a preference:
• Professional consultancy
• Hospitality, tourism, leisure
• Financial or healthcare services
• Public services, such as transportation, emergency response, Social Security, smart cities
• E-business, e-commerce, and m-commerce
• Operations and maintenance contracting, services in retail business

Volunteers will be required to critically review the existing body of knowledge to add new frameworks, tools, methodologies, case referrals, training programs, and competency matrices. On average, volunteers will be required to contribute 10 to 15 hours monthly.
