Published: Thursday, July 12, 2012 - 14:19 (ISO: Geneva) -- The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has released an app version of its flagship magazine ISO Focus+ for the iPad and tablets running on Android. This free application will make key information and knowledge about ISO and ISO standards more accessible to users. “By creating a friendly, easy-to-use application for tablets, we are opening our magazine to a larger audience, making it more convenient for readers who like to access content in this way,” says Nicolas Fleury, the director of ISO marketing, communication, and information. Features of the new app: “ISO standards are an important source of best practice, innovation, and technical knowledge in almost all subject areas, from the food industry to automobiles to project management,” says ISO’s secretary-general, Rob Steele. “Understanding the wide scope of available standards and the latest developments is essential for leaders, managers, scientists and engineers, regulators, students, and many others, and ISO Focus+ is the easy way to keep up to date. We hope that readers will enjoy the new application, which makes it even simpler to access the highly informative articles in the magazine.” ISO Focus+ is also available in PDF format free of charge on the ISO website at www.iso.org/isofocus+. Printed versions can be ordered online (a one-year subscription is 38 Swiss francs) or by contacting the ISO sales team at sales@iso.org. Quality Digest does not charge readers for its content. We believe that industry news is important for you to do your job, and Quality Digest supports businesses of all types. However, someone has to pay for this content. They keep you aware of new products and services relevant to your industry. All ads in Quality Digest apply directly to products and services that most of our readers need. You won’t see automobile or health supplement ads. So please consider turning off your ad blocker for our site.
