Body
Pyzdek Consulting Inc. has announced a Six Sigma Black Belt training course designed for busy professionals. PCI President Thomas Pyzdek will lead the first TravelFree Training class. TravelFree Training will be delivered on the Web by live instructors to small groups of students in a classroom-like environment. The classes will be recorded, allowing students who miss classes to view them later.

The 160-hour course will be taught in 40 half-day sessions spread out over 16 weeks. Training sessions will be presented every other week. On the weeks between training sessions, instructors will be available during virtual office houses for extra help. Optional Web-based consulting support packages will be available to help Black Belts, their sponsors and teams. Students can network at the PCI Virtual Student Lounge and Virtual Student Union.

The course will be based on Pyzdek’s The Six Sigma Handbook (McGraw-Hill, 2003), and each student will receive an autographed copy of the text, as well as Pyzdek’s Six Sigma Project Planner (McGraw-Hill, 2003). Pyzdek reports that the course was designed for busy professionals who can’t afford to leave their positions for Six Sigma training.
