PowerSteering has acquired Breakthrough Management Group Inc.’s software assets. The two companies have entered into an agreement in which BMG will offer its project tracking software along with the complete suite of PowerSteering software. BMG will continue to provide Six Sigma solutions worldwide. The newly available resources and access to PowerSteering’s customers will allow BMG to expand into new markets, while PowerSteering will provide support and development for BMG’s ProjX suite and other products. PowerSteering Software Inc. also recently appointed Stephen Sharp as its chairman and chief executive officer.
Sharp has more than 15 years of experience in senior executive leadership positions. He will be responsible for leading PowerSteering’s Strategic Program Management market, and expanding the company’s Six Sigma software market share.
“I’m excited to be joining PowerSteering as the company enters its next generation of growth and market leadership,” Sharp says. “The obvious strength of the customer base, which includes industry leaders such as General Electric, Raytheon, Tyco and Textron, was a significant reason I was attracted to PowerSteering. I look forward to continuing and building on the company’s leadership and momentum.”
