Quality Trainer is a new, Web-based learning service devised by Minitab Inc. With a focus on statistical education, Quality Trainer is a useful resource for busy quality professionals.The service is available via subscription at the company’s Web site and uses narration, animation, and other multimedia to teach how to apply statistics and use Minitab statistical software to maximize the benefits of data-driven quality initiatives such as Six Sigma.

“Quality Trainer is a great complement to Minitab’s in-person training,” says Cate Twohill, product manager at Minitab. “For people who’ve attended Minitab training, it’s a way to keep that knowledge fresh. And if you can’t attend our live training sessions, Quality Trainer is a convenient alternative for learning quality statistics.”

The service offers nine in-depth chapters of training material, covering both basic and advanced statistical techniques. In developing Quality Trainer, Minitab partnered with Enspire Learning, an e-learning development company based in Austin, Texas. The combined knowledge and experience of these two industry leaders results in an interactive learning environment that brings Minitab’s well regarded training services to a wider audience.
