Several top executives will speak at an upcoming conference on the use of lean processes and Six Sigma. The conference is sponsored by the Lean Six Sigma Institute of Corporate College, and will be held Nov. 11 at the East Campus of Cuyahoga Community College in Highland Hills, California. Speakers include Tom McCarty, vice president of Motorola University’s Consulting Services and Arthur Anton, Swagelok Co. president and CEO. McCarty will discuss Six Sigma management systems and explain how they can be used to improve any organization; Anton will present a workshop on lean called “Getting Rid of Waste.” Debbe Yeager, Ford Motor Co. director of corporate deployment, consumer-driven Six Sigma, and Dr. Hira Fotedar, vice president for corporate quality, Eaton Corp., will also speak.

“The agenda at this conference is designed to give organizations a competitive edge to ensure top line growth and improved bottom line profitability,” says Craig McAtee, Cuyahoga Community College Workforce and Economic Development Division executive director.

The day-long conference will feature eight afternoon breakout sessions on a variety of topics related to lean Six Sigma, including small business implementation, integration and supplier issues.
