(WNS Global Services: Mumbai, India) -- WNS Global Services, a provider of business process outsourcing services has launched a Green Lean Sigma program as a companywide initiative to address energy conservation and the lowering of the company’s carbon footprint. The program is the company’s first step toward its goal of becoming a carbon-neutral company.

“Improving the environment is now a business imperative for companies across the world,” says Neeraj Bhargava, CEO of WNS Global Services. “Carbon emissions and environmental issues are going to affect how companies operate in the future. We at WNS recognize this and are committed to becoming a carbon neutral company. As part of this program, we will embed Green Lean Sigma into our business processes, and collaborate with our stakeholders to fulfill our responsibility.”

Roger Carr, chairman of Centrica PLC, an integrated energy company, joined WNS at its Mumbai headquarters to launch the new program. “Centrica seeks to decrease its overall impact on climate change through efficient energy use in its operations and by supporting other businesses that do the same,” says Carr. “We commend WNS’ vision to become a carbon-neutral company and for their dedication to environmental issues.”
