(University at Buffalo: Buffalo, NY) -- University at Buffalo’s (UB) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Blended Format course is a unique way to become a Green Belt. This hybrid course combines hours in the classroom with online learning that can take place anywhere, at any time. Green Belt training focuses on the fundamentals of data collection and analysis while providing an in-depth understanding of the tools and methods of lean Six Sigma.

The course provides an integrated and world-class set of tools to enable execution of process excellence initiatives and projects. Although the tools are applicable to any business, this course is unique in that it is focused on applications within service industries and government. The course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to implement Six Sigma projects and help promote the methodology in their own organizations. The course leverages Six Sigma, lean, and other business-optimization and change-management methodologies that will be collectively referred to as “lean Six Sigma.”
Facilitator: Brian Murphy, CSSBB
Brian Murphy is a lean Six Sigma facilitator with UB’s Center for Industrial Effectiveness. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and provides expert training, analysis, and implementation in lean and Six Sigma methodologies. His experience lies in the manufacturing, energy, and service industries. Murphy is passionate about energy management, process improvement, and environmentally friendly alternative energies.
