An innovative four-week Six Sigma Black Belt training course sponsored by Excel Partnership will begin in July. The course will take place one week a month for four months, beginning July 25–29, followed by Aug. 15–19, Sept. 19–23 and Oct. 24–28. Courses will be held in San Francisco and will feature a holistic approach to certification that includes projects, exams, coaching, tollgate reviews and project defense. They will be taught by experienced consultants and will include manufacturing as well as transactional tasks.
“For me, the Six Sigma philosophy brings together the best tools and techniques from the leading quality consultants over the last 25 years,” says Joe Barckett, Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a course instructor. “Six Sigma provides any size or type of organization with quality improvement and bottom-line results. Our active Six Sigma Black Belt candidates are projecting savings ranging from $50,000 to $4.2 million, or an average of $360,000 per project.”
