Cellnet Technology Inc. recently named Prasana Venkatesan as vice president of product development and supply chain. Venkatesan is a lean manufacturing and Six Sigma leader with more than 20 years of experience in energy-industry product development and manufacturing. He previously worked at Schlumberger Technology Corp., where he held leadership roles in technology center management, quality management, purchasing and manufacturing. As a member of Cellnet’s executive committee, Venkatesan will lead the company’s global quality program, supplier and manufacturer relationships, and hardware product development.
“Cellnet’s innovation in two-way wireless fixed network solutions has played a big part in our profitable growth,” says Venkatesan. “I’m excited to be part of a great team of professionals who are dedicated to building on our ten-year history of success.”
Venkatesan has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and production engineering from Annamalai University in India, and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He’s based in Cellnet’s Atlanta headquarters.
