Brookfield Engineering Laboratories was the recipient of the 2005 Northeast Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing.The award was presented by the University of Massachusetts’ College of Management’s Greater Boston Manufacturing Partnership. The Shingo Prize has been dubbed the “Nobel Prize of manufacturing,” and recognizes successful and innovative lean management programs. Brookfield Engineering is one of three 2005 recipients of the award and the first Massachusetts company to win a gold award.
Brookfield will be officially presented with the award at the Northeast Shingo Conference, Sept. 13–14 in Boston. Sponsors plan to hold the event annually.
