(Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University) -- Naveen Ratnam Didla has won Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University’s Harrington Best TQM Thesis/Project Award 2011 for his master of science thesis titled, “Factors Affecting the Implementation of Project Quality Plan in the UAE Construction Projects” completed at Heriot-Watt University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2009. The thesis is based on an empirical study of the construction projects in the UAE. It has interesting implications for decision makers in all parts of the world.

Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University, also located in Dubai, has pioneered e-learning in the Middle East and is the first to create the Harrington Best TQM Thesis/Project Award in conjunction with a number of European partners from the European Universities Network in TQM to honor H. James Harrington, who has contributed innovative ideas in the quality arena. His scholarly writings and training programs have inspired scholars, students, and practitioners in the Middle East to implement the total quality management (TQM) philosophy and techniques for improving organizational performance.
