Jonathan Spector will become the 10th president and CEO of The Conference Board, a research and business membership organization, on April 16. “Jon Spector has excellent credentials to lead The Conference Board forward,” says Douglas R. Conant, a trustee of The Conference Board, CEO of Campbell Soup Co. and chair of the search committee that picked Spector over 250 other applicants. “Jon is bright, worldly, experienced and skilled at working with people. His work experience as a CEO, a global consultant and as vice dean of the Wharton School have perfectly prepared him for this new role.”

As vice dean of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Spector implemented strategies resulting in record growth and a greater role for its executive education division. Before working at Wharton, he was CEO of several innovative high-technology companies.

“Jon Spector is a splendid choice to lead The Conference Board’s worldwide activities. He led diverse organizations around the globe and is a widely recognized expert in management education,” says Samuel A. DiPiazza, Jr., CEO of Pricewaterhouse Coopers and a member of the search committee.
