(CSS: Farmington, CT) -- Connecticut Spring and Stamping (CSS), a manufacturer of precision parts for the medical, aerospace, firearms, and defense industries worldwide, announces that CSS will present “Self-Directed Work Teams Improve On-time Delivery and Quality,” at the 2012 Northeast Shingo Prize Conference, “Learning to Share,” which takes place Sept. 25–26, 2012, in Worcester, Massachusetts. The nationally known conference brings together authors, industry leaders, employee experts, and practitioners to work on building a strong regional lean network.

Gaston Pelletier, vice president of continuous improvement, and Greg Mitera, continuous improvement engineer, will give the presentation, which focuses on CSS’s successful use of self-directed work teams (SDWTs) to achieve 100-percent on-time delivery and quality objectives. The presentation will take place on Sept. 25 from 1:50 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. in meeting room AB.
