(PPT VISION: Minneapolis) -- PPT VISION, developer and manufacturer of machine vision solutions, has announced the addition of two high-performance cameras to its M-Series embedded machine vision system line. The two cameras—from JAI, creator of digital CCD/CMOS camera technology—include an ultraviolet (UV) camera for inspections that benefit from this shorter wavelength of light, and a remote-head “industrial endoscopy” camera for special applications. Additionally, the release of the IMPACT 10.2 software supports the growing M-Series vision system family with streamlined functionality and expanded image management capabilities.

This GigE Vision-compliant monochrome camera delivers 1,392 × 1,040 pixel resolution at 16 fps in continuous operation to capture images of UV-sensitive materials or objects that can only be imaged with UV light.
