Canada’s National Quality Institute will host an April networking event focusing on mental health and addiction in the workplace. The event, titled “Working Toward Mental Health and Excellence at Work in Canada,” will be held April 12 in Toronto. It will include a town hall-style panel and keynote presentations from leaders in business, government and science. NQI plans to use the event to release a new business and management tool for the promotion of the mental health of the labor force, called “The Roadmap for Mental Health and Excellence at Work.”

Guests and speakers include Ontario Lieutenant Governor James Bartleman; Bill Wilkerson, Roundtable co-founder; Michael Wilson, chairman of UBS Canada and senior chairman of the Roundtable on Addiction and Mental Health; Senator Michael Kirby, chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology; and Dr. Ron Kessler, Harvard Medical School professor of health policy.
