MetricStream Launches Application Delivery Via E-mail

Published: Monday, October 4, 2004 - 21:00

MetricStream Inc. announced the inclusion of application delivery (“zaplet”) via e-mail in its latest release, MetricStream 3.5.

The capability will allow organizations to engage relevant internal casual users and external partners in the compliance process through e-mail without having to learn the entire application. “MetricStream continues to leverage its architecture to lead the industry in delivering the most innovative quality and compliance solution to the marketplace,” says Shellye Archambeau, MetricStream CEO. “Ensuring 100 percent adoption of application by casual internal users and partners is a real issue that needs to be addressed for a world-class deployment of a compliance application. I am very excited about MetricStream’s ability to address such hard issues.”

One of the key factors for successful compliance with regulations is that everyone who uses the processes should follow their defined procedures. Required procedures are typically embedded in applications that automate the process. However, this implies that even the most casual users within an enterprise, as well as external users, should know how to navigate through the application and use it according to defined procedures. If they don’t, they become the weakest link in the compliance process. MetricStream 3.5 addresses this issue by delivering relevant application forms called zaplets through e-mail to casual users. When the user receives the e-mail from the application, he or she can open it and enter the relevant information in the form and send it properly.

MetricStream’s quality and compliance solutions are used to achieve compliance with industry and government regulations, successful implementation of quality initiatives and compliance with industry mandates.
