Juran Institute Announces Acquisition of Baldrige.com

(Juran Institute: Southbury, CT) -- Juran Institute Inc. has announced the acquisition of Baldrige.com into its family of quality solutions and services. The site is not the same as the National Institute for Standards and Technology’s Baldrige Performance Excellence Program site, which can be found here.

The legendary founder of the Juran Institute, Joseph M. Juran, was a particularly vocal advocate for the Baldrige program. Prior to the passage of the congressional act that created the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 1987, Juran testified in front of Congress on behalf of creating the award to help bring the focus of quality to the United States. Juran was also one of the original overseers in the Baldrige Award process. Since the beginning of the Baldrige Award, the Juran Institute has offered its own staff in support of the award process, and many participated as judges, senior examiners, and examiners.
