HelpIT, which sells data-cleansing software, recently joined with QAS, a supplier of address verification solutions, to provide organizations with tools that standardize and verify addresses, and identify and process duplicate records.

Because customers in a multichannel environment can provide information in several ways, such as the Web, point-of-sale terminals or by telephone, the number of duplicate records in business databases has grown.

QAS now resells matchIT, helpIT Systems’ deduplication tool, allowing organizations to spend more time on data strategies, like targeting and segmentation, and less time identifying and processing customer information.

“Because of its intelligent matching capabilities, matchIT is an ideal complement to QAS’s data quality products,” says Robert Heidenreich, helpIT Systems president.

Many different businesses, including financial services providers, catalog companies, universities, mail order companies, universities and multichannel retailers, struggle to match information from each channel quickly and accurately.
