FARO Technologies Inc. was recently approved by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining as an alliance partner. Shared standards and best practices allow NCDMM members to improve their products and processes through greater quality control. Many use FARO’s coordinate measuring machines.

“This elite status reflects our ongoing commitment to use technology to improve not only the quality of our customer’s products, but to also improve the quality of life for everyone through a stronger, safer America,” says Simon Raab, FARO co-founder and CEO.

FARO also has a General Services Administration contract with the federal government for its CAM2 systems and services product line.

“We’re proud that the federal government has recognized and rewarded our long history of technical superiority and exemplary customer satisfaction,” says Jay Freeland, FARO president and COO. “This is really a win-win situation all around: FARO gets the cache of doing business with the government, of course; and the government and its other suppliers now have the ability to product better materials more efficiently by using FARO’s measurement systems.”
