The American Society for Quality will host the 20th International Team Excellence Awards May 16–18 in Seattle. The event, which will be part of the World Conference on Quality and Improvement, is the only worldwide team-based improvement and performance excellence competition in the United States. It will feature more than 25 teams from around the world vying for international recognition, along with ASQ Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. The winners will be announced May 18.

- DynMcDermott Petroleum Operations Co.—River Ridge, Louisiana (two teams)
- Galvak S.A. de C.V.— Mexico
- General Dynamics—North Kingstown, Rhode Island
- Greenville Technology Inc.—Greenville, Ohio
- Honda of America Manufacturing Inc.—Marysville, Ohio
- Keihin IPT Manufacturing Inc.—Charlottesville, Indiana (two teams)
