Now that Super Bowl Sunday and all the hoopla associated with it has come to a conclusion, we sports fan can look forward to the opening of baseball training camps and of course March Madness, the annual National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) basketball tournament. For many of us, though, the memories of a great football game between the 49ers and the Ravens remain intact. Or perhaps it was the commercials that remain an indelible part of our memory.

Several commercials tugged at our heartstrings, notably the Budweiser Clydesdale ad, the Dodge Ram tribute to our nation’s farmers by Paul Harvey, and the accolades to families of our proud service men and women voiced by Oprah Winfrey. In many homes I’m sure there wasn’t a dry eye as the ads rolled unto our television screens.

football

Someone actually watched the superbowl?  We had the last few seconds on, that was it.  We don't watch football at all, baseball and some college basketball, yes.  (to each his own I guess).

Each QD newsletter I look for your commentary. 

I miss Paul Harvey, he always had something good to say, especially when he woud say "now wash your ears out with this" and then he would give us something good to hear, instead of the steady beat of how many were killed over night or traffic problems, etc. that we hear on the local news.

Take care and keep up the "wash your ears out" commentaries!
